It should work. You can set and modify. You cant delete a setting but you can definitely change it.
Try to change another thing in the policy, and see if it reflects. Otherwise I would delete the documents in the $Policies view in the local names.nsf and then try again.
There should be no problem deleting all of them, since they will download again from the server. You can make a backup if you feel better that way.
After you start the client, check the local log.nsf. You should see something that says that the settings were refreshed. That’s the policies been downloaded.
OK, I deleted all the documents in the Policies$ view, they all came back after restarting Lotus Notes . But I still have the wrong value in the $PrefCheck_Quota_On_Mail_Create field
But I definitely put a value of “0” in the $PrefCheck_Quota_On_Mail_Create field in the desktop policy form
Do you have only one policy or setting that has this?
Maybe you have several and the user is been attached to the wrong one. Try to export a Policy Sinopsis (Person View, Tools on the right) and check the result. Also, you could try explicity assign the policy.
Try to open names.nsf and do crtl+shift+f9 to remake all the views. And also, you could try to delete cache.ndk in the client.
But this is usually not required. I cant imaging why is setting you another value.
