Chained Smart Upgrade issues

I’m attempting to use chained smart upgrade kits to get my clients using Notes 8.5 Standard to 8.5.1 FP2.

I have a kit set to go from Release 8.5 to 8.5.1, and one to go from 8.5.1 to 8.5.1 FP2. Policy is set to go to 8.5.1 FP2.

The users can manually start the upgrade (and it works) via tools–>Notes smart upgrade.

However, users are never prompted to upgrade like they are supposed to be. As soon as I set policy to go to 8.5.1 (as opposed to 8.5.1 FP2), the prompt works fine.

What’s up here? Admin guide says this should work.

I’m using a shared network location as the path to upgrade.

was told it was an issue with policy… and is fixed in 8.5.2

Just remove all settings from policy and use the smart upgrade kit alone without it. Prompt comes back.
