An iteresting problem.
Our product - iDM - (as I suspect all proxy administration tools) hinge on AdminP - which has a reliance on certlog.nsf.
Imagine our surprise when we come across a customer who has been merrily running without certlog.nsf for a number of years.
Question is - how do we create enough of a valid certlog.nsf so that we can at least register new users ? How does one recreate the certifier entries in there ?
Do we have to recertify the certificates once certlog.nsf is in place.
Scoured knowlege base and this forum, and cant find a solution.
(Okay - this question is a little off base, but as we come across more 4.x and early 5.x systems, I can see these people having migration issues)
Thanks in advance,

Subject: Certlog.nsf… How to re-create ?
You can make a new one using the appropriate template, filename must be certlog.nsf to work.It will only track new entries. You will need to recertify if you want to have existing users/servers etc… show on the list.

Hmm… Thats what I thought… Sigh…
Anyone know a relatively pain-free way of doing this ?

For R5 and ND6:In Admin Client, mark them all in the People View and choose Tools / People / Recertify.

Subject: How to calculate user expiry times…
Whilst not an exact fix for Certlog.nsf, this technique does actually show you the expiry dates of users…
There’s an @Function (which, I’ve not seen for the last seven years!) - @Certificate.
One parameter shows the expiry date of a users ID file based on their public key in the NAB. The ND6 directory has a view - “People\Certificate expiry” which demonstrates this.
God. Talk about RTFM…
