I know that the 2 supported linux platforms are SLED 10 and RHEL 5 for domino 8.x
Since CentOS 5 is basically the same as RHEL5 and used by almost all hosting providers: is CentOS 5 a supported platform by IBM?

Subject: no it is not
8.5 will add Unbuntu support (not sure which version specifically).
Subject: Ubuntu support will be for 8.04
Subject: 8.0.4? Do you mean 8.0.2?
we have been told ‘this year’ for unbuntu … 8.0.4 is a ways away
Subject: It’s 8.04 LTS
Ubuntu 8.04 means 2008, the fourth month. They issue a version every six months, thus 8.04. The next one will be 8.10. The 8.04 is LTS - long term support - which means it will have 5-year support for the server version and three years for the desktop one.
Hope this clarifies it a bit.
Subject: yeah, I got it once I realized Dwight was talking about Unbuntu version, not Notes
Subject: John, I think he’s referring to the verson of Ubuntu not Notes
The latest version of Ubuntu is 8.0.4, he’s referring to this. Notes should be 8.0.2 as promised.RoB
Subject: It is not but I currently run it on Debian Lenny and Ubuntu 8.0.4
And I had D7 running on Cent OS, It worked fine but I am used to Debian based distributions.
Subject: Unsupported, but runs fine.
Both 8.0.1 and 8.5 beta 1 run just fine on CentOS 5.
