Celeron processor, good? bad?

Has anyone been loading Notes on a machine that runs a Celeron processor?

Any experiences good bad or otherwise?

I’ve been running Notes on Celerons for as long as I’ve been running Notes, and there are no real sacrifices. In fact, the Celeron can do some things faster than a “real” P4 because of the shorter pipeline and smaller cache. Not everything, mind; just some things. There’s nothing so memory- or computationally-intensive going on in Notes that put the Celeron at a distinct disadvantage. You may want to evaluate performance with other applications, though, before committing to Celeron workstations, because there are applications that need the extra grunt.
