Does anyone know if IBM has any plans to address the issue of categorized query views not correctly showing totals for columns?
Subject: roaming
If you turn on roaming, you can then use full-access administration to check the settings in their location documents and ensure they are pointed at the local replica and have a replication schedule enabled.
Depending on the size of your userbase, you might want to write a script to do that for you. Use that in conjunction with the policies to catch the ones that aren’t getting the update from the policies.
Because users with local replicas still hit the server to replciate, you can’t really kick them off the server…therefore it is hard to force them not to use the server. The other way to catch who is using a local replica vs server replica is to restrict the server and drop all users. It will cause the replication to fail, but this will probably not be noticed by the users. However, the server users should start screaming!
