Categories not appearing in views

I have this problem in two views from standard template-based databases. My section’s TeamRoom By Category view does not show any categories. I can see them in the Developer client, but not in my Notes client. The sort does not appear to be in action, either. The other view is the ToDo view in the Mail database. Same thing, no categories, no sort.

Ideas?

it is possible that the view is set to Not Display Categories with no Documents in them… ? or did you already check that?
