I’ve been using 8.5 and DDE for a few weeks. One thing that is driving me nuts is that when I make view design changes like adding columns, change column formulas, etc. there is too much cacheing going on. I am not sure where the problem lies, perhaps with the Notes 8.5 standard client, but I often have to close and restart Notes/DDE before the view changes are visible in the client. I know caching is used for performance reasons, but when I change a view, I want to view it now. Is there a function or button at least I can click on to clear the cache?
Subject: If you never found a solution
I thought it was really strange that I was not seeing my changes in Notes immediately after making them also.
I found that this is happening with Views that were created using older versions of Notes, like 6.x or older.
I got around the issue by
copying the view
changing the name of the original view
renaming the copy of the view to the original name of the old view.
Now all changes I make to the new view are showing up immediately after making them
