Can't open some databases in designer

Like the look of the new designer, some nice looking stuff in there, but I can’t always use it…

When opening some databases in designer I’m getting an error stating that “Opening xxx.nsf has encountered a problem. Error creating new project”. The more details button shows 2 more lines: “Error creating new project” and “Error crating the project”. Neither is particularly helpful! The end result is that the database doesn’t open in designer at all.

This seems to be happening to random databases on various servers. I’ve been trying to open databases that are based on the same template, some open some don’t.

Subject: we’ve seen this

and a fix was checked in yesterday.

One issue is that we weren’t handling dbs in directories, so if you’re seeing that, you can workaround by having a copy at the root of your data dir.

Subject: I’ve got the same issue

I took a copy of the application to my local, where it is effectively at the root. It does not throw an error, though, it simply clocks without actually opening it. Any ideas of what I can try?
