Can't open database - worked in Notes 7

Hoping for some help - I am authorized and have been able to access the Capital database. Switched to Notes 8 and can no longer open this database. Other data bases seem fine, just this one won’t open.

Any ideas?

What happens when you try and open the DB? Do you get an error message? Can you open other databases on the server? Can other IDs open the database using the same client? Can you open the DB with your ID from another R8 client? These are just things you can try to isolate the issue, good luck!

Thank you VERY MUCH for the response. I’ll try to answer the questions.

What happens when you try and open the DB? The DB is blank

Do you get an error message? No error but no data at all

Can you open other databases on the server? This is the only DB that access on this server

Can other IDs open the database using the same client? Not sure what you mean here. I’m the only one that I know that switched to Notes 8. My peers that are still on Notes 7 have no problem.

Can you open the DB with your ID from another R8 client? Again, don’t know anyone else using Notes 8.

Subject: Blank DB

When you say the DB is blank, what do you mean? Are the design elements there (sidebar, etc.), or are there just no documents visible?

Subject: Full client?

If you have installed the full Notes client (Eclipse version) then it’s possible that this is causing the problem. I have seen databases that do not display correctly when viewed in the full client but are fine in the basic client.You don’t need to reinstall Notes to try it, all you need to do is add -sa to the Notes shortcut to make it think it is the basic version.

It’s a bit of a long shot, but maybe worth a try.
