Cant access domino objects using Java

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can’t find library nlsxbe (nlsxbe.dll) in java.library.path

While trying to write a java standalone app needing to access domino data, when I try to create a session and access the domino objects I get this error. I can access them using JDBC just fine but we really need to use the domino objects to get what we need. Any help would be appreciated. By the way I’m using Eclipse as the IDE.

Thanks

Did you already set up the link to the Notes.jar file and all related *.jar files?

Yes, I think everything is like it should be.

I know this question my be redundant, but did you load all the notes java paths into the lib path in Eclipse? You stated you can access “them” using JDBC. What exactly do you mean?

I’ve checked that about a million times and it seems like everything is like it should be, although obviously it isnt. I think my problems lies in the path itself. My classpaths have ncso.jar and notes.jar in them and after reading the eclipse help file on where to add to the java library path it had me put the paths c:\notes and c:\notes\data\domino in the arguments section of the particular class. Is this right??? I’ve been sleepless for two nights and its killing me.

As far as JDBC goes, I meant I can use a JDBC connector to hit my domino data without any problems but using sql statements isnt really the best way to do what I need to do. I have to be able to use the domino objects to get the info I need.

Are you putting the entire file path to the *.dll in the imported class paths in Eclipse? Such as c:\notes\data\domino.*dll, etc.

No, just to the directory

Did you try to put the entire reference in the path? If so, same results?

Same thing

This is strange, I’m going to have to go in my back of “tricks” to find out what IBM did to Eclipse path lib settings. This is a strange one.
