Hi. This might sound like an odd problem, but its actually quite annoying. I have been using R5 Notes client for years. One of the things I got very used to is the use of the TAB key to navigate my way through documents which contained a combination of doclinks and fields. It worked great - I could just hit TAB and move or change to the next doclink, field, and to doclinks and fields on the next line of text. Now with Notes R6 client (I am using 6.0.4), the TAB key doesn’t work the same way. First of all, say I have 4 doclinks right next to one another on the same line. When I hit TAB in R6, nothing. TAB will take me to the next field, only if the cursor or pointer is positioned adjacent to an actual field; if there are any doclinks in between, then TAB won’t do anything. In R5, I could hit TAB and it moves the cursor to the next doclink, where I could easily hit the SPACE bar and open the link. In the case it was a field, SPACE would cycle through the values which I could set the field to. This functionality was perfect for speedily moving through a checklist style document opening many links and setting fields, without ever having to use the mouse. And the end result is you could complete work much faster than using the mouse to move through the doc.
Hopefully I haven’t confused anyone in my description of the issue. For anyone who is used to using TAB to navigate a document, and SPACE to open links or change field values, I am sure you will know exactly what I am referring to as it is painfully obvious how broken it is in R6.
Does anyone know how to make the TAB key behave the same way as it did in R5? Where do you configure this type of behavior?
Thanks.
