Cannot setup Domino 7 on Linux

Hi all,

I have installed domino 7.0 on Linux. After the installation, I run the setup script (lotus/bin/server) as user “notes”, but the terminal hangs. From another terminal, I can see the last message in setuplog.txt is “DataFormatter: Null format argument”. Could anyone give me some suggestions to solve this problem?

Subject: Cannot setup Domino 7 on Linux

Check the java setup. When setting up Domino on Linux you have to have a correct java installation because that is what is uses for the configuration process.

Hi,

I have setup the PATH environment variable to the “bin” directory of my JAVA setup, and tested my JAVA setup by the command “java -version”, and it successfully displayed that my version is 1.4.2_10. However, I still cannot setup Domino, and the same error message appears in setuplog.txt. Is there anything that can also cause the “DataFormatter: Null furmat argument” problem?
