I cannot seem to send any Adobe PDF file attachments to any internet recipients at all.
I keep getting back a delivery failure from the server with the message:
Error transferring to 172.21.3.100; Unknown type of compression technique Unknown type of compression technique
172.21.3.100 is the interior network address of my Internet SMTP “smart host” relaying firewall server.
Subject: Cannot send PDF attachments to internet
Apparently I can send PDF attachments to other internal Lotus recipients ok. Just not to anyone out on the Internet.
Subject: KNOWN BUG found…
…had LZ1 compression enabled in mail database properties, as it was recommended to save space, but doesn’t work fully yet in 6.01.

I’m guessing that your SMTP mail gateway is a v5.x server, your home server is a v6.x server, and your client is a v6.x client.
I’m using v6.x all the way through with LZ1, and have no issues…
