Cannot see MIME images on incoming emails

My incoming HTML emails are correctly rendered when opened with other email clients, but I only see the image “placeholders” when I open with Notes email. Any ideas?

there are a number of reasons for this problem, but the most common is that you’re required to use a proxy to access the internet, but it’s not set up in your address book’s current location; see the current Location, Basics page, Proxy setting…

Images are not send in the mail. You need a Proxi or direct conncetion to the internet to download them.

Same problem here. I’m running R6CF1.

When I open the mail in a R5 Client using proxy the images show fine.

With the R6 client using proxy I see no images.

I have now tested in an environment that does not require a proxy server.

R5 Client shows the images.

R6 Client no images.

I have been reading thru dozens of similar postings and although a number of people have posted the same problem, no one seems to have posted an answer?
