Cannot reply mail from internet

Hi,I have 2 notes domains (let’s call it dom1 and dom2). DOM1 contains the mail server while DOM2 contains the server running SMTP. For reason I won’t elaborate, some users need to carry forwarding address of the form “xxx@br.abc.com@DOM1” where br.abc.com is a foreign SMTP domain.

When a user (say User A) who has the above forwarding address sends an email from another SMTP mail system to a Notes user (say User B) who does not have the above forwarding address and User B clicks reply, the TO: field shows “userA@br.abc.com@DOM1@DOM2”.

Delivery of this email will fail. However, if we manualy remove the @DOM2 from the TO: field, delivery will be successful.

Please advise what it is that we need to configure to allow successful delivery to xxx@br.abc.com@DOM1@DOM2, so that users do not need to manually remove @DOM2 before sending a reply.

Thanks
