Cannot read encrypted Mail

Dear all,

One of my colleague told me that he always get Email from other Director (encrypted mail) with the following error.

“You cannot access portions of this document because it is encrypted and was not intended for you, you do not have decryption key”

But he is in the cc list, can somebody tell me how to tackle it ??

Thanks,

Michael

Email encyrption is performed by the sender’s machine using the public key for the recipient. The public key is stored in the address book. If the sender’s local address book contains an entry for the recipient then the key stored there will be used, if not then the key in the mail server address book is used.

Use “File - Security - User Security” to examine the public key in the recipient’s ID file. Examine the public key stored in the address books (server and local on sender’s machine). They keys must match.

Hi Robert,

Yes, the Director’s local address book contain the address of that colleague.
