Cannot ping domino server

Hi, I Just installed notes on a new TabletPC & trying to connect to my domino server.I created Connection document, enabled TCp/ip port. I added the IP address in the hosts file.I couldn’t ping the server either with tcp address or the server Name. I even disabled the firewall. Is there Something to be done on the Serves Side? thanks a lot in advance

Try putting the IP address in the server portion of the “file - database - open” dialog box, that might work.

Is this a already configured and working Domino server?

Is there a firewall on the Domino box preventing ICMP?
