Cannot open new user's mail file

When we create a new user using 8.5 std client on 8.5 32bit server it succeeds but when we try to open the mail we get “Can’t find view”, a design replace even with the local template does not fix this. If we go in via inotes you can get in but there are no documents in the inbox (you can send and they appear in the sent box)

This started happening after one of our servers (not the mail server) was upgraded to 8.5FP1

Any ideas?

We’re having this issue as well, but we’ve experienced it before and after FP1…sometimes the error seems to clear itself after a day or two but sometimes it won’t go away without corrective action.

We’re working with IBM on this right now, but as a workaround, we go to preferences from the client, then Mail->Attention Indicators then put a space in the first sender names field, delete the space, hit OK and restart the client and it clears the error.

In the KB it mentions that you won’t be impacted by the issue if you either don’t use mail policies or don’t configure Attention Indicators via Mail policies. Sure enough, we were setting a few options in our Mail policy…changed it so that we aren’t setting any Attention Indicator settings via the policy and haven’t had any problems with new users so far!
