I cannot open the local address book names.nsf in the standard client. I get always a long and cryptic error message. Starting with “!CompositeApplicationUIServiceImpl.err.app.not.installed …”
Any idea?

What happens if you close the standard client, then open it in basic mode by just running nlnotes.exe?
Can you then open that address book successfully?

Replacing the design with the local template doesn’t help. Any other idea?

Ran Compact, Fixup & Updall, replaced designand interestingly also copied a backed-up local address book over the file and deleted cache.ndk
with exactly the same result.
I created a new local Names.nsf from the pernames.ntf template and copied all of the relevant information from the backed up addresses and that solved the problem.
With a different machine with the same problem a complete reinstall with the backed up addresses worked.
