I have been using the 8.0.2 client with the old openNTF 1.3 mail template for several days with no issue. This weekend, we upgraded the server environment to R8, so I have now upgraded my mail template to the standard R8 mail template. Each time I open my mailfile, I get the error
cannot find external name: NTFDBPOSTOPEN
Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions? I have tried replacing the design of the file back to a standard R5 mail template, then back up to standard R8, without success. Not sure what to try next - your suggestions are appreciated!
Check out Technote# 1090897, it sounds like there is a missing library from your old template. You might be able to pull the library(s) back into your mail file manually, but I would just make a new mail file for myself and manually copy over the docs., or use Technote# 1110903 to do it automatically.
Thanks - I did wind up re-creating the mail file. Lotus support suggested that I first try opening the mailfile in the designer and using Tools → Recompile All LotusScript. That removed the error, but I had some residual compile errors after that process, so I wound up just re-creating the mail file anyway.
