I have a Rich Text field that I am using to allow the end user to paste any URL into. Once it is saved, I go back to edit mode, and either clear the field and save it, or I paste another URL into the field and save it. When I open the document back up, the URL is still the original one pasted in there! Anyone have a clue as to what it going on?

I think the problem is that you are changing the text of the URL hotspot, but not the URL. For example:
clearly goes to www.ibm.com, but if I just edit the text, I get:
which looks like it would go to www.microsoft.com. but the URL hotspot still points to www.ibm.com (try it if you like). I would need to go further and change the url, as shown in the screenprint below:

Thanks Ben, but I found out what the problem was. There was a script running that looked at certain fields to be updated and if none of those fields were touched, then the save was aborted and not done. I was just trying to change the URL Link (not just the hotspot or the text, but to replace the entire link) and not touching any other field, so the save was terminated and not completed.
