is it new or I have totally missed the fact we cannot edit on the fly attachements sent in MIME ?

Do you mean with a received MIME message, you want to open the attachment, edit it and then save it back to the original message?

When you have an email you rceive with an attachement, you have the options to Open, Edit, View, Save.
If the attachement is in MIME (at the top of email), you can only Open, View and Save. No Edit.
Subject: Edit on the fly
The change to attachments in 8.5 requires that the document be placed into edit mode in order to edit (or delete) the attachments in a MIME message. This has been SPR’ed and is being addressed by development. In the interim, placing the document into edit mode (CTRL-E) is a workaround.
