i don’t know what cause this. the create, edit and delete button are all greyed out. we don’t have any archive policy enforced throughout the org. yet this happens to some of our users.
pulling hairs again. any other guys experiencing this?

Hi… you could try to delete the profile document for archiving using lotus script or formula…

this can be done if i set the user acl for the mail database as Manager. not the right solution because i don’t want my mail users to “delete” their mail dbs and blame the admins.
btw, where may i find the so called archive profile - on the client or the server?

Hi Syahid,
I do face the same problem in my concern, We have given designer access to all mail files users.
They cannot create a archive on their own. (Enable Archieve) will be disabled for all access except Manager.
The solution is i will open their mail file with admin id and enalbe the archive settings.
But this is not a right way, but sill managable.

great! that worked! thanks to you sethu. no thanks to ibm for increasing my job tasks. any more ways to solve this so that the user him/herself can do this on their own (thus decreasing my burden!)?
