Cannot change default Out-of-Office Message

Dear All,

I am going to modify the OOO message from default one to something else, but failed in anyway. I have modified the field “GeneralMessage” of “(OutOfOffice Profile)” in mail6ex.ntf. After that, I have refresh the iNotes60.ntf and a user’s mailbox, but I cannot see the change in the mailbox on both Notes Client and iNotes. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong I have? I am going to get crazy for the problem…!!

Hi Jonathan,

You modified the default value of the field, so the value used when the document is created. It should work when a new user is registered (in fact when a new mailbox is created)but it cannot work afterward. Maybe you could change the type of the field (to computed) but I am not sure it will work because there is a lot of background code.
