Cannot access archived messages

I set up archiving for Lotus Notes some time ago, and while archivinghas been running and removing emails from my current database, it

appears it never actually archived anything. When I access my archive

via the Tools options, all folders are empty. I reviewed the archive

log, and it shows that archiving ran and that 0 documents were copied

every time.

I understand that for whatever reason, I have probably lost these

emails forever. However, how do I set up archiving now so that it

will actually archive?? My archive settings were as follows:

Basics –

Archive from server to local workstation

Settings –

Default for Last Modified: Enabled, 30 days, Copy old documents into

my archive database, then clean up this database (archive

\a_51664.nsf). Delete older documents from this database.

Default for Expired: Enabled, 5 days, Copy old documents into my

archive database, then clean up this database (archive\a_51664.nsf).

Delete older documents from this database.

I don’t see a setting to copy old documents into my archive database

and NOT clean up that database???

Advanced –

Do not delete documents that have responses

Log all archiving activity into a log database: archive\l_51664.nsf

Scheduled archiving will occur locally at 8am on Friday

I am running version 6.5.

at quick glance everything looks fine to me. Question, has you notes ID been changed at all since you first setup archiving (common name chnage or certifier change)? I’ve seen occassions where your docs would not show if your exact notes ID name did not appear in the ACL of the archive db. We had this happen on several users who were moved to a new certifier hierarchy. Once I corrected their name in the ACL, even though local, they were able to see all of the docs.

My ID hasn’t changed, at least to my knowledge. The problem is that I have so little space, my mailbox fills up rather quickly, so not archiving isn’t an option. However, neither is losing all these emails!!
