I’d like to disable the annoying feature that lets you rename design elements by clicking them in Domino Designer. Is there an INI setting for this?

But I’m not offhand sure whether this is still used in 8.5.
What’s the problem with it? You know, I did fix it so that it doesn’t modify the design element unless you actually make a change to the name.

Thanks for the info, Andre. My objection is it’s just way too easy to get into rename mode. Whether it updates the design element or not, it’s just annoying. I get really annoyed when I’m trying to single-click on a design element and Designer thinks I want to rename the element, and it does it all the time. Thanks (to you or whomever is responsible) for giving us the option to turn it off.

I find the in view edit of design elements annoying. Thanks for that notes.ini setting though.
Subject: To me all the reorders and renames with mouse only are frustrating too.
The usage is often enough not obvious to me and even when, I would have at least wanted to see a need to click crtl at the same time, too or something, I don’t know anyone spending more than a few minutes a week in renaming and resourting, it just feels like the wrong thing in the foreground.
