Can the workspace directory be disabled?

We are running the Lotus Notes client 8.5.1 on Citrx servers. The disk space allocated to each user on the file servers is limited. On the 8.5.1 client there is a directory called workspace that is created in each user’s home directory. We would like to be able to run the client without this direcory. I believe this direcory can be re-directed but this may not be an option. If you delete the directory it will be re-created automatically. Is it possible to “disable” this directory altogether?

Subject: This seems unlikely…

  • Someone from IBM feel free to jump in and tell me I’m wrong, but if you look at that directory all manner of configuration appears there, which seems like it should be unique for each user.
