I have yet to be able to get proxy to work on any client since 8.0 (including the 8.5 betas). In 8, there were many of us that had the same problem. In 8.5, I see some folks seem to have managed to get it to work. Please note, that I don’t need general instructions; I’ve had proxy working here from 4.5 through 7.0.3. I can’t possibly recommend upgrading past 7.0.3 if I can’t get html email to show the graphics… TIA.

What type of authentication is required by your proxy server? Are you configuring a single proxy server or a automatic proxy with a PAC file? Where in Notes have you configured your proxy information?
In the Notes 8.5 beta there is a bug in the Notes location document in which proxy settings are configured. If you give me more specifics on what you are trying, I can help you out.
