Can one have a Domino Server & Microsoft SQL Server installed on the same machine?

Hi

Does any one run or know if a Domino Server 6.0.2CF1 & a Microsoft SQL server v8 can run on the same machine. We are having a few problems with our SQL server and are know looking at putting SQL on our Domino Server.

I can’t find any documentation that says Domino and SQL can or can’t integrate together on the same server. Please can someone shed some light on this subject.

At the moment the Domino server looks like this:

OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Server build 2195 Service Pack 3.

RAM: 1024.

MHz: 1004.

Processor: Intel Pentium III processor [2 processors]

Applications Installed: Trend Micro ScanMail for Lotus Notes 2.6 & Domino 6.0.2CF1

Would adding the SQL Server greatly affect Domino’s performance?

I’m running SQL 2000 and Domino 6 on the same Windows 2000 machine and they’re working alright together but they do eat up all the machine’s cpu and memory resources together. It’s certainly not an ideal situation but at leastit does function.
