Can not Telnet SMTP or POP3

Hello,New to Domino, installed 7.0.2 FP1 for DST in Win2000, from ver 7.0, all is working except for telnet to port’s 25 and 110.

This is on the server itself so I have ruled out any firewall\portblocking\antivirus problems.

On the Domino server, I enter "show tasks, the router is idle the SMTP is listening on 25 and pop3 is listening on 110.

I have checked the Configuration document\router SMTP\restrictions and Controls\SMTP inbound Controls —>Exceptions for Authenticated users is set for Allow All.

I have also checked in the Current Server Document\Ports\internet ports\Mail----Pop=110\enabled SMTP=25\enabled (in & Out), both are set for enforce server access SMTP in setting=no, SMTP out setting=N\A, POP3 setting=no

Any suggestions…

from a dos prompt type netstat -a and see if anything is actually listening on the port

After running the command I find it shows that it’s Listening for both POP3 & SMTP

TCP domino:smtp domino:0 LISTENING

TCP domino:pop3 domino:0 LISTENING

But still telnet fails…
