I just upgrade to notes 8.5 and now when I open my e-mail I just get boxes with X instead of the pictures. Any ideas or suggestions

Subject: “show images”?
Did you click on the “show images” Hot Spot? What Notes Client Version did you upgrade from? I believe this was an 8.0 change to improve performance… Only “show images” on demand… Unfortunately I don’t believe that it is configurable to have it do it automatically… I request you open a PMR with Lotus Support if you would like that functionality available…
