help,
we can not receive external emails. we are fine sending out and internally. But when someone try and send us in it says :
Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for user@domain.com
anyone has any ideas

Check you SMTP inbound restrictions !
It seems you’re configuration is done so that you’re not allowed to receive mail.
To test if it’s the problem don’t put any inbound restrictions. If it works like that, add the restrictions.
BUT don’t let the server without inbound restriction too long connected to the internet otherwise it will be used as relay

They seems to be fine. I had a look through all the configurations and they seem ok. I rebooted the server and the firewall twice-before making changes and after that and it is ok
