i have a location field , and another is type field .

for example when i selects in location field “Delhi” , than in type field “new” accordingly in the third field values will be pouplated . can it be done by @if

coz currently i populate the value by using either of the one field using formula

@if(type=“new”;“A1”:“A2”:“A3”;type=“old”;“B1”:“B2”;“”)

can it be done like this

@if(location=“Delhi”;type=“new”;“A1”:“A2”:“A3”;location=“Delhi”;type=“old”;“B1”:“B2”;“”)

plz help me and give me the correct formula for this coz i want to make it more dynamic

If I understand your problem if you select the Location Delhi then the Type Field can take on one of two values (Old or New) and then depending on the selection there then the third dialog would contain either A1 A2 etc or B1 etc.

What might be the problem is that you need to refresh the calculation. Look at the field property of the first dialog list and make sure that you have “Refresh fields on Key Change” checked off. This will recompute the list for the second dialog list.

So the formula for the Dialog list in The Type field would be

@if(Location = “Delhi”; “New”: “Old” ; “”)

Then the Formula for the dialog in the third field would be :

@if(

   location="Delhi" & type="new";

        "A1":"A2":"A3";

   location="Delhi" & ;type="old";

          "B1":"B2";

   ""

 )

With the Refresh Field on Key Word Change set on both Location and Type this should work unless I’m missing something.
