Can IBM Lotus Domino and IBM Workplace server be installed on the same box?

IBM Workplace Server requires “at least” a 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor and 4GB of RAM

Domino 6.x and the upcoming 7.0 don’t require anywhere near that much RAM (at least not as a minimum requirement).

Question -

I don’t mind purchasing a new high-powered server if it means that I can deploy IBM Lotus Workplace. But I also need to move my Mission Critical Domino 6.5.3 production server to a new box this year as well (old hardware is showing its age! :-).

So, if I get a box with dual NICs (one dedicated to each application server), can I run both on the same box? Or will I need to buy 2 new separate server boxes (which is a bit pricey for my small company)?

I can’t find anything in specs for either Domino or Workplace about this.

Please help!

Technically it should work, but ive seen quite a few bugs with portal. I wouldnt put them both on the same machine, especially if one of them is mission critical.

Thanks Israel. My thinking is that it should work as well.

But I’d certainly like it if someone from the IBM Lotus team could weigh in and offer some definitive answers.

Anybody from IBM (who has recovered from Lotusphere! want to offer some insights?.

Thanks.
