Can I use Notes 5 client to access Domino 6 or highter server? Can you tell me more info about mis-match the versions?

For temporary access, this is not a problem. I bet that Domino R6 based Notes dB’s are compatible with R5 clients. Be sure of coruse to test updates in a production environment.

Note: For R6.5 it might be much different. Testing is the best practice, here. Or read a lot about upgrading a Domino Notes infrastructure.

A lower level client can access a higher level server. Where you need to be careful is what “template” or “applications” are you accessing. If the DB you are accessing on the server is using “newer” features that the lower release level client knows about, they obviosuly will not work. If your applications are still R5-designed and you are using an R5 client, all should be fine.
