Can I move folders between databases?

Quick question - can I move folders (andtheir subfolders) from one database to another?

I have migrated from Outlook to using Notes,

and was able to import my Outlook pst into

a separate database. But now I want to move it

to my primary mail database. How do I go about

achieving it?

Thanks.

Create the folder you want in your email DB, then go to the folder you want to copy from, select all the docs in that folder, copy them, paste them into the folder you created in your mail db. Repeat for each folder. I’m sure that someone could write an agent that does this. You may want to check the Sandbox. Good luck, and welcome to a real email system! :o)

Thanks for the help! Sigh!

The only way I have found to copy folder structures from database to database is to use the archive function. It is a round about way, but after replacing the design and cleaning up any unwanted folders it gets an otherwise undoable job done.

I had a user that wanted a ton of folders moved over. I took a new copy of the sourceDb and pasted the replica ID of the targetDb on it. Then I used a folder select replication to the Target db. It worked great. Luckliy I don’t get those requests too often. Now I’m looking for an opensource pgrm that assigns replicaIDs.

Here’s what I found on a quick search:

One more thing… Sent emails will be a problem unless they filed those in the folders. It would be a security risk to rep the entire Sent folder to the targetDb.
