Can I determine if a message was sent with inotes or lotus notes

Hi,

I am trying to determin whether or not an email was sent using inotes or the lotus notes client. Does anyone know if I can do this ? I’ve tried searching the weblog for the message ID but it does not appear in there

I am doing this as part of an evercise to determing who has been accessing some mailboxes which they should not have been (yes, I know the staff should have changed their passwords)

I have the IP address and I know which broadband provider it belongs to but I doubt they will part with the owner information.So I am trying to determine if the culprit is the owner of one of the mailboxes by proving that they have sent something from the IP address in question from their mailbox.

Subject: $Mailer field

check the $Mailer field in the document properties of the received mail msg. This will tell you if it was sent from a Notes Client:

“Lotus Notes Release 8.5.1 September 28, 2009”

or from a Domino Web Server:

“Lotus Domino Web Server Release 8.0.2FP6 July 15, 2010”
