Can Domino 8.0.1 and DB2 9.5 work together?

I have installed Domino 8.0.1 and DB2 9.5 on one computer (Windows 2003 32bit). I know official requirements are herehttp://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.domino80x.doc/DOC/H_SUPPORTED_PLATFORMS_AND_HARDWARE_AND_SOFTWARE_REQUIREMENTS_OVER.html => DB2 9.1 but I hope that DB2 9.5 will work too.

The step “Enabling the DB2 Access Server” (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.domino80x.doc/DOC/H_ENABLING_DB2_SERVER_ACCESS_STEPS.html) was finished without error but I have some problem with “Testing the DB2 Access server configuration” (http://www.abclinuxu.cz/images/screenshots/5/3/102535-store-for-snapshots-40149.png) now.

Subject: db2 9.1 is required

The CE and 9.5 would require additional knowledge of db2 to get running and with no support from ibm.

Is there some feature of 9.5 that you require?

Thanks fore all answer.My problem was:

  • order starting services (1st DB2, 2nd Domino)

  • I omitted to populate DAV in DB2

Nice, but is still unsupported, so my advice as an IBMr is “don’t try this in the office”. FWIW someone succeeded also with DB2-C, but is the same issue…works is one thing, supported is another.RoB
