I had several comments in various documents of a database that I did not create. Several days later these comments where missing. I looked at the document and the field was deleted from the document so I know that the document was just not simply edited by someone.
I did a search using Configurator in TeamStudio and found an agent that deletes this comment field! When I looked at the list of agents (I have manager access) I could not see these agents in Designer. How could this be? Can a specific agent have the design hidden?
At first I thought that TeamStudio was finding a private view so I did an experiment where I create a private view in a database and another user with manager access searched the database. I was able to find the agent via TeamStudio search but not the other user.

In the security settings of the agent, could someone have set the “default access to viewing and running this agent” to a specific role that you might not have as manager of the database? That would hide the agent from you in designer. That’s happened to me.

Agree with other posts…
But another thought… sometimes the private agents don’t show up in designer until you create a “blank” private agent, then viola! Ten thousand private agents appear.

It is a private agent that I created. I created it almost a year ago and can’t remember why.
The agent was not showing in the agent list. When I created a new agent using the R5 client, the agent in question appeared.
I must have accidently run this agent at some time but can’t remember doing it. What I don’t know is how long this agent was “missing” and if it was “missing” then how could I run it?
