Calender Ghosting

Calender Ghosting is really exciting enahancement to every one. But I am curious as to know why it is not available in Lotusnotes 8 Basic configuration.

Subject: It should work with the Notes 8.0 Basic Client…

Calendar “ghosting” should be working with the Notes 8.0 Basic Client as well as the Notes 8.0 Standard client.

A couple of things you should check…

Is your home mail server running Domino 8.0 or later? This is a requirement.

Have you turned on the preference to enable ghosting?

Has the administrator of your home mail server disabled “ghosting”? Either through the use of a policy or possibly by adding CSDisableDisplayUnprocessedNotices=1 to the Domino Server’s notes.ini file?

Also note, the display of unprocessed notices (ghosting) is not retroactive. By that I mean, once you enable the preference, unprocessed notices that you have received prior to turning on the preference are not displayed on the calendar as “ghosts”.
