Calendar refresh to show today

I have a client who leaves Notes running all the time on her Mac with a bunch of windows open, one of which is a calendar view that shows today at a glance.

I gather that she thinks she remembers that before the upgrade from 7.x to 8.5.1 (fp2), that calendar view would auto refresh to show today, each day.

Any thoughts?

There is a Day at a Glance calendar in the release your client is using. It is one of the sidebar applications. The DAAG calendar will refresh to the current system date when the system date changes (typically at midnight… but manually changing the system date will trigger it as well). There is a delay of up to 60 seconds before this happens.

The main calendar application (i.e main calendar tab) also supports this functionality, but unfortunately we have a bug there. If the main calendar tab is not the active tab when the system date change is processed, it will not refresh to the current system date. This is documented under SPR JEIN83SJNF. Unfortunately we will not be able to address this problem in our upcoming 8.5.2 release. It is being considered for a future release.
