I have a Group Calendar database where an admin can create an entry for someone else, and then click on a button to put it into that other persons personal Calendar.
At the moment, that other person has to give FULL access to their Mail and Calendar, under Access & Delegation.
As there are about two hundred people that would need to give the admin this access, there is great resistance to do so.
So my question is this - Is there a way to access another persons Calendar through LotusScript without having to have FULL Mail access?
I am currently using the below code to access the other persons mailfile.
Set nmUserName = session.CreateName(uidoc.FieldGetText(“CreatedFor”))
username = nmUserName.Abbreviated
Call maildb.OpenMail
Dim AddressBook As New NotesDatabase( maildb.Server, "names.nsf" )
If AddressBook Is Nothing Then
Messagebox "Could not locate Address Book"
Exit Sub
End If
Set view = AddressBook.GetView( "($VIMPeople)" )
If view Is Nothing Then
Messagebox "Could not find ($VIMPeople) view"
Exit Sub
End If
Set doc = view.GetDocumentByKey( username )
If doc Is Nothing Then
Messagebox "User " + userName$ + " not found in the Address Book"
Exit Sub
Else
mFile$ = doc.MailFile(0)
If Lcase$(Right$(mFile$, 4)) <> ".nsf" Then
mFile$ = doc.MailFile(0) + ".nsf"
End If
mServer$ = doc.MailServer(0)
End If
Set db = session.getdatabase (mServer$,mFile$)
