Calendar item not appearing in Inbox

Meeting invitations sent to me do not appear in my Inbox. They do appear in All documents. I have checked varous postings and tried the proposed solutions but without success. I’m working on a Windows XP machine with Lotus Notes 8.5.2.

Solutions tried so far:

Updall -r

Compact -b

Deleting the inbox from designer and replacing design.

There is no duplicate ($Inbox) folder.

Any suggestions welcome.

File\Preferences\Calendar & To\Display\Notices. Display following meeting notices in my Inbox was set to “None”.
