In client 6, calendar view displays the same document over 2 days. Its “shadowing” the same document. The same view when displayed in Client 5 does not show this duplication.In client 6, I can hightlight the document on 1 day and it also appears as highlighted on the other day. What needs to be done to make this calendar work in client 6?

you have to ensure that the time and timezone settings in Server and Client are the same. Notes.ini settings like Timezone, DST, UseNotesTimezone and DSTLaw have to be equal on server and client. Also have a look to the time setting in locationdocument of the Client.

On R5, when you have an appointment for more than one day, it copies the document one for each day.
On R6, repeating appointments work very different. Notes creates a main document wich contains the information regarding the appoinment. And also ceates ONE response to that document with many -not all- of the fields of the main document.
On the calendar view, only the response document is shown, not the main document.
The response document has a field CalendarDateTime to show the same document on different days of the calendar view
