Calendar Cleanup leaving many old entries for all users

We are having a widespread problem with calendar cleanup tool missing many old entries that “should” be deleted because they are not repeating items and they have not been modified. Our company moved all users to new mail servers. Is it possible that the change in mail server name is contributing to why very old entries are not being purged?

Subject: $NoPurge

What is the $NoPurge field set to in these documents?

Subject: $NoPurge

The existence of $NoPurge with no date means the document is never eligible for archiving. However, if $NoPurge has a date then it eligible for archiving once the $NoPurge date is older then the current date.

Subject: $NoPurge is well beyond expired by over a year.

Subject: Its possible the entries are not in the Meetings view

Just researched this issue for a PMR that had come in recently and the underlying cause was due to the entries no longer appearing in the ($Meetings) view, which is the view that the archiving engine uses for this feature. The database I looked at, the parent notes had been deleted or the parent notes had been turned into stored forms. In both cases that will cause the children to no longer appear in the ($Meetings) view because it is a threaded view. There is a way to get around this that I’m working on a technote for so I will post a link to that once it is published. It requires changing code in mail template.

Here is the technote I referred to http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21444622

Subject: Should not be the cause

I’m currently working on an investigation of a couple other reports on this same issue. If you could provide a database for one of these users who is running into the issue I could figure out if it is the same root cause I’m seeing in the other issues. Also, please note any 3rd party applications you use that may access a users calendar entries.
