Cache file

The CACHE.NDK file - does anyone else have problem with it?

We have a whole host of little issues which all get solved if we delete the cache file on a users PC.

Examples…

New mail does not appear in the Inbox

Database views show corruptions

Desktop icons are for the wrong location

Database does not show the refreshed design.

Deleting the cache and re-launching Notes always fixes the problems. Out Support desk now delete this file as the first solutiuon to any problem a user has and it solves the vast majority of problems. We are even considering getting the system to auto delete this file each time a users starts the PC.

Anyone have anyt thoughts?

Same problem occurs to me. Using SCT, and refreshing mail template design changes are not considered on the user’s workstation till I don’t delete his cache.ndk file! Are there some settings other than the workspace properties to avoid caching?

Same here. Example we had was person and group documents using some other random form. Looked at the design of the Domino Directory, but nothing to indicate why these docs were using this form. Finally, we deleted our Cache.NDK file located in the Data directory, and all was well.
