CA error initializing certificate authority

Hello,

On a new lotus domino V8.5 install (No migration) after migrate some Cert in the CA process for testing purpose. When starting CA process I got this error message on server console:

"Error initializing certificate authority process.

This error may indicate the need to upgrade the domino directory, admin4.nsf and/or icl.ntf design."

How can I solve this issue.

Design has been replace, and I have this error on other servers.

Subject: Check the directory entry of the certifier that was migrated

Is it CA enabled? Does the ICL database specified in the certifier entry exist?Try rebuilding the views in the directory, admin4 and icl database.

Hello, I got the error message when doint lo ca in the console.

ICL database are created. I have reindex names, admin4, and ICL dbs not luck same error message.

Any other suggestions?

Is there anything after it - like the Certifier name?

Do you have more than 1 CA in the CA process?

Have you tried “tell CA status” on the server console?

Hello,

I have 3 Cert in the ca process. → 3 ICL databases.

Becasue the CA tasks doesn’t start the “tell ca status” doesn’t work.

Yes it’s the exact error message with the a error number 0B:07

Ok I found the problem some design element was missing in the template pubnames.ntf I dont’ know why but, after replacing this template and replace the design on the names. ca process is now working. The error message was finally good…
