First of all - I am fairly new to Notes Development altough been working with Domino infra for many years.
Recently I performed some updates to a Domino Database which is used by local Help Desk Staff for incident/ problem reporting - ammending forms views etc - so far no problem.
One enhancement to the database is to include a Button - which when selcted when genreate a Autor and Time Stamp for the current user - the idea being that would create a kind of audit trail to see when and who updated the calls.
OK altough I can certainly create a button for this function - the challenge is - how to make the Author Date and Time Stamp appear at the cursor position ?
If anybody can perhaps suggest has a better way of achieveing this goal - even without a button - for example perhaps making the Author and Time stamp when leaving the form when selecting the save button - please let me know .
