I’ve been playing with this for quite a while now. =8( I know it’s a stupid thing and I’m very close, but I fear I’ve been looking at it for too long. Another set of eyes would be appreciated. =8)
I have validation in the QuerySave event (results to “Continue=false”), and I have the following in a hotspot button:
What is happening: the validation is being triggered from the 1st save, but continues on anyways! The validation pops up again, the agent runs and the “Do you want to save…” dialog comes up. =8(
What should happen: the validation message pops up (once), and it stops.
If the validation passes the test, it works perfectly fine.
Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, in advance!

Subject: Button, SaveOptions and validation order of events…
The notes help does not mention any return value for @Command([FileSave]) and @False returns 0 so I guess that this condition is never true even if the save fails which is why the code continues. The @Return statement stops the execution of a formula so this is not a problem.
Subject: SOLVED! Button, SaveOptions and validation order of events…
Howdy!
Thanks for your suggestions! Changing the FileSave in the @If to a “@PostedCommand” was enough to fix it.
Take care!
